I know in my heart that it’s because of the undying love I have for Jesus and His unconditional love for me that I know my future husband will have it, too. He will be completely and totally in love with Jesus like I am, for that is the only way he can be completely and totally in love with me, too.

I don’t know why it means so much, but it does. This is why I’m here. It’s what I wrote about in my med school personal statement. It makes it all worth it, the late nights and early mornings and moving and debt and burning retinas on a computer screen. It is the opportunity to serve. This is why.
