I’m confident in my own ability to rescue myself

I will choose happiness. I can and will be happy again, but I will only truly be happy while I am being my own authentic self. I can already tell that it will be a challenge to let go of those feelings that come over me anytime I feel like I need to rescue someone, but I know I have it in me to fix this. After all, I am now aware and can acknowledge all the ways that codependency shows up in my life.

I’ve learned a lot about life, but definitely have plenty more to learn. I do know that if you keep an open heart and mind you will live your life freely and honestly. You will be able to sift through the negative and positive a lot more clearly. There is a lot I didn’t see until I stopped focusing on what I could do for everyone that has done nothing but put forth negativity towards me, just to make them like me.

In fake friendships, there is an expectation of phoniness that one must exhibit in order to keep the friendship going and the minute things become too real for the insincere soul, the friendship diminishes

In healthy and real friendships, authenticity is embraced. If you are a frank person, more than likely, your real friends will love you for your honesty. A fake friend will hate you for it and avoid you. Your real friends will be around whether you are on Cloud Nine, or Rock Bottom. The fake ones hate when you are high and love when you are low.
